Full Moon in Taurus

Full Moon in Taurus

Quality of Life

I am beyond excited for the Halloween full moon this year, especially since it’s a fairly rare event, to match a thankfully rare year. The moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus, meaning that the full moon in Taurus is always beneficent.

And, not only is the moon full twice in the month of October, one of those full moons falls on All Hallow’s Eve, or All Saints Eve. This won’t happen again for another 19 years.

The veil of separation here in the physical realm is at its thinnest point on All Hallow’s Eve.

  • The dead walk among us in spirit form.

  • The Underworld opens her gates.

  • Death abides in kinship with us for one night.

  • And, not at all surprisingly, all of this happens while the Sun is in the spooky sign of Scorpio.

In a year where everything has been turned on its head, the heavens have smiled upon us. The veil thins and our hearts turn to the quality of our lives. Taurus is the luxuriator. Taurus luxuriates in possessions, feelings, friends, family and life. Slow and deliberate, she is always present enough to see the beauty in each situation, to sense the joy and opulence of even the roughest moments.

Full, the moon amplifies this energy and provides another element, one of closure:

  • Where has your quality of life been lacking?

  • Where have your friendships and family relationships been waning, or maybe close to nonexistent?

  • How have you been unsatisfied with life?

We are all being asked under this moon to identify what we need to release. If your life has not been waxing opulent, it’s time for change.
